Add a New Accounting Period for a New Year

This article explains how to add a new accounting year in EMDECS.
  1. Open the Financials menu and select Financial Manager.


  2. Click on the Accounting Periods link under the Things To Do list on the left-hand side, or click on the Accounting Periods tab at the bottom of the Financial Manager screen.


  3. Your current accounting years will be listed. To add the new year, click Add.


  4. Enter the year to be added and click Add again.


  5. The new accounting year will be added, and the accounting periods/months will be created automatically based on your prior year's accounting periods.
