Why am I required to transition to a new system?
In short, the technology it is built on is out of date and it is holding us back from making EMDECS better for you.
EMDECS Forms was developed using "Oracle Forms." The Oracle Forms platform is at the end of its lifecycle. It is no longer updated by Oracle and support is limited. Forms is not compatible with the latest version of Java (users need to remain on Java version 8 update 341 or older) and we cannot guarantee that Forms will continue to work with new releases of Windows. Remaining on Forms also prevents us from deploying EMDECS on the latest database technologies, so we can innovate with new technologies, improve performance, and integrate with more modern systems,
To provide our customers with the best experience we need to update our systems beyond the limitations of Oracle Forms. We will provide free online training to make the transition to Kona as smooth as possible for you.
What is happening to all my data and history?
None of your historic data will be lost. When you sign in to Kona you will be able to find all past and existing invoices, inventory history, repair orders, units, maintenance history, etc. Behind the scenes, there will be no changes to the underlying database. Many of our customers have already switched to Kona and continue to access historical data entered using Forms.
How can I get Kona training for myself and my employees?

This will be our final day of official support for the EMDECS Forms system. Access to Forms may be discontinued at any time following this date.
What is happening to my bill?
No changes to billing are occurring at this time. We will provide equivalent EMDECS Kona licenses for all of your users, modules, and technicians in Forms.
The pricing for adding additional users and technicians in the future will follow our standard billing model for Kona, as outlined below:
Admin / Manager License: $125.00 USD per month ($165.00 CAD)
Technician License: $69.00 USD per month ($90.00 CAD)\
