EMDECS Mobile App (New Release 2023 preview)
This article will detail some of the features available in the EMDECS Mobile app.
Light or Dark Mode
Choose between Light or Dark mode for added visual comfort.
Default Locations
If you have access to more than one location through your login, you can choose which location the App defaults to. This can also be updated at any time for Technicians that move around periodically.
Help Menu
Need help? You can now log a ticket or call us directly from the app. You can also browse a list of FAQs for quick answers.
Circle Check - Offline Mode
When possible, EMDECS uses the cell or wi-fi network to connect with the server. If this is not available, then the Circle Check can be done in Offline Mode. There's an indicator on the page to let you know which mode you're in.
When Offline, there are extra steps added to the Circle Check function to aide in identifying the Unit and type of inspection being performed.
Camera
The camera of your device can be used to read the barcodes for VIN numbers
PM Inspection Forms
When filling out Inspection Forms, Techs can track their progress to see what has been completed.
When the form is completed, a list of defects will be displayed. If coded to the form, the Signature page will follow.
Uploading Photos
Upload images from your device to an Inspection Form or RO. A message will indicate whether the upload was successful.
