How to assign Barcodes to Parts
This article will detail the process of assigning specific barcodes to parts in EMDECS. This can be useful for coding in a Vendors barcode and allows it to be scanned into any parts screen with scanning capabilities.
Parts-> Part Master-> Select Part
Select the part you wish to code from the Part Master. Click on Barcodes to proceed
Scan the part in and enter the quantity.
When ready, select +Add
Click Save/Exit.
A number now appears next to the Barcode hyperlink to denote that one has been attached
Now, when scanning, this part will appear on ROs, POs, Counter Sales and other parts screens through the system.
